Personalized orthodontic treatment for a healthy, confident smile
A healthy, confident smile can make a difference at any age. The Midwestern University Dental Institute provides personalized orthodontic care to improve the alignment of your teeth, support healthy oral function, and help you feel more confident about your smile.
Depending on your individual needs and treatment goals, options may include conventional metal braces or clear aligners. Our orthodontic care team will evaluate your smile and work with you to develop a treatment plan that fits your dental needs, lifestyle, and preferences.
Midwestern University faculty and students use advanced technology to provide comprehensive orthodontic services for children, teens, and adults.
Note: At this time, we are only able to accept current patients of the Dental Institute.
Contemporary technology and digital impressions
The Dental Institute uses contemporary technology to help make orthodontic treatment planning more efficient, accurate, and comfortable.
Digital impressions can create a detailed three-dimensional image of your teeth without the trays and impression materials traditionally used to make dental molds. These digital scans may be used to evaluate your teeth, plan treatment, create orthodontic appliances, and track your progress throughout care.
Orthodontic services for all ages

- Treatment for bite and jaw-alignment concerns
- Orthodontic appliances
- Ongoing monitoring and treatment adjustments

Our team takes time to explain your treatment options, answer your questions, and help you understand what to expect throughout your orthodontic care.
Early orthodontic evaluations for children
We recommend that children receive an orthodontic screening by age 7. At this age, an evaluation can identify developing concerns with the teeth or jaws, even while baby teeth are still present.
Not every child will need treatment right away. For some children, early orthodontic intervention may help guide jaw growth, create space for emerging permanent teeth, or prevent more complex concerns from developing. For others, periodic monitoring may be the best approach until they are ready for treatment.
Orthodontic treatment for teens
The teenage years are a common time to begin orthodontic treatment because most permanent teeth have emerged and the jaw is still developing.
We work with teens and their families to create an individualized treatment plan while providing guidance on oral hygiene, caring for orthodontic appliances, and maintaining healthy habits throughout treatment.
Orthodontic treatment for adults
Orthodontic treatment is not only for children and teenagers. Adults of all ages can benefit from care designed to improve the appearance, alignment, and function of their teeth.
Whether you have always wanted a straighter smile, have experienced changes in tooth alignment over time, or need orthodontic care to support other dental treatment, our team can help you explore options such as conventional braces and removable clear aligners.
