Thomas Dillon, PT, DPT of the Physical Therapy Institute is Awarded the Clinical Educator of the Year

Congratulations to Midwestern University Physical Therapy faculty Thomas Dillon, PT, DPT, for winning the Illinois Physical Therapy Association Clinical Educator of the Year Award! This award recognizes educators who consistently demonstrate significant contributions to the quality of clinical education.

“Dr. Thomas Dillon, PT, DPT, is being recognized for his contributions to the clinical education. Dr. Thomas Dillon, PT, DPT, is a Clinical Associate Professor and Physical Therapist at Midwestern University’s Physical Therapy Program and holds the primary role of treating PT clinician at the University’s Physical Therapy Institute. All of Dr. Dillion’s nominators spoke of his strong commitment to clinical education excellence, advancement, and mentorship. Dr. Dillion has been a clinical instructor since 2015, conducted clinical research, and presented at state and national conferences. Dr. Dillion mentors students in research projects and poster presentations on an annual basis. Other contributions and examples include Dr. Dillion’s use of various clinical education models, professional interdisciplinary interactions, and successful efforts to continue clinical education experiences for DPT students during COVID.”
