Equine Services
We provide a wide range of health services including general and specialized diagnoses and management of medical conditions.
Working as a team, Midwestern faculty veterinarians and students use the latest technology to provide a wide range of health services, at our Glendale clinic or the client’s premises. Examples of services that are provided include:
- Cardiology consultations
- Dental care, routine and surgery
- Dynamic (overground) endoscopy
- Elective surgery including eye enucleations, castrations, mass removals and more
- Endocrinology consultations
- Gastroscopy
- Internal medicine consultations
- Lameness evaluations
- Laser surgery
- Lower respiratory diagnosis
- Therapeutic laser treatment
- Tumor diagnosis and treatment
- Ultrasound
- Upper airway diagnosis and surgery
- Rehabilitation
- General and specialized diagnosis and management of medical conditions of equids including respiratory, gastrointestinal, metabolic, neurologic, urinary, and skin diseases
Radiographs offered on farm and in clinic
- Chest and abdominal radiographs available in clinic
- Farrier radiographs and podiatry consults
Reproductive Services
- Mare cycle management and breeding with cool fresh and frozen semen
- Barren mare evaluation
- Stallion services are not currently offered
