Biography
Dr. Schea Fissel completed her doctoral degree at Kent State University, specializing in autism and literacy. She is a licensed and certified speech-language pathologist with clinical expertise in diagnostics/intervention for school-age children with language and reading challenges as well as neurodiverse-affirming care for social communication and autism spectrum disorder. Dr. Fissel directs an annual, month-long summer program, Translanguaging Adapted Group (TAG), designed to universally support the social communication, behavioral self-regulation, and early literacy skills of multilingual neurodiverse children. She also teaches courses in child language, literacy and learning, and autism.
