Biography
Miriam Carroll-Alfano, Ph.D., CCC-SLP, CBIS is an Associate Professor in the Department of Speech-Language Pathology at MWU. Dr. Carroll-Alfano received her Master of Science from Saint Xavier University, and her Ph.D. from Western Michigan University. She has worked for over 23 years as a speech-language pathologist, including 14 years for the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago at Alexian Brothers Medical Center. Her clinical interests include medical speech-language pathology and working with persons with motor speech disorders, cognitive communication disorders, aphasia, swallowing disorders, and head and neck cancer.
