Biography

Alisha Kleindel is an Instructor in the Speech-Language Pathology Program at MWU. She has been a licensed speech-language pathologist since 2009. Ms. Kleindel has worked as a medical speech-language pathologist her entire career, working in all medical settings including acute, inpatient rehabilitation, home health, skilled nursing, and outpatient settings. She has certifications in Lee Silverman Voice Training (LSVT®), Vital Stimulation for Dysphagia (VitalSim®) with adults, Respiratory Muscle Strength Training (RMST), SPEAK OUT!®, Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES), and Modified Barium Swallow Impairment Profile (MBSImP™).

Ms. Kleindel specializes in assessment and treatment of adult neurogenic disorders, particularly with complex dysphagia, acquired motor-speech disorders, and voice deficits. She currently teaches courses in dysphagia, advanced practices in dysphagia, voice and resonance disorders, and clinical practicums.
