Biography
Dr. Huang graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of Chicago in 2003 and received her M.D. from Rush Medical College in 2008. She completed her ophthalmology residency at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mt. Sinai in 2012 and earned fellowships in pediatric ophthalmology from the USC-Doheny Eye Institute at the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles (CA) and in cornea uveitis ophthalmology from the UC Irvine Gavin Herbert Eye Institute.
Dr. Huang worked as a physician and clinical instructor at the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles and the Los Angeles County Hospital in 2013 before moving to New York to take a position as Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mt. Sinai and New York Medical College until 2015. She then became an attending physician at Eye Center South in Dothan, AL, before coming to Arizona in 2018 to become an attending physician at Phoenix Children’s Hospital while also serving as an Assistant Professor at the University of Arizona. Dr. Huang joined Midwestern University in 2023 as an Adjunct Professor before being appointed a Clinical Associate Professor at the Midwestern University Eye Institute.
Dr. Huang is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO); the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus (AAPOS); the American Academy of Pediatrics; the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery; and the Pediatric Uveitis Committee of AAPOS. Dr. Huang has also participated in mission trips to the Dominican Republic, Peru, and China.
