Biography

Dr. Risbrudt received his DDS degree from the University of Minnesota in 1964. He served as a Naval dental officer in the United States Navy, Fleet Marine Force, 1st Marine Division, serving at Camp Pendleton, CA, Chu Lai, Republic of Viet Nam, and Okinawa, Ryukyu Islands from 1964-66. Following his honorable discharge, he commenced private practice in 1966 in San Clemente, CA, where he practiced continuously from 1966 until his retirement from active practice March 1, 2013, to join the faculty at Midwestern, first as adjunct faculty, then full-time pre-clinical faculty, and now as full-time Clinical Care Faculty. 

He has taught at USC School of Dentistry, and as Visiting Faculty of the L.D. Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education, Key Biscayne, Fl. He became a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry in 1976, and continues as Emeritus Fellow. In October of 2014, he was inducted into Fellowship in the American College of Dentists. He will be inducted as a Fellow into the International College of Dentists this year. 

His experience includes leadership and involvement in numerous study clubs and learning organizations to this day. He is a life member of the ADA, Arizona Dental Association, Maricopa County Dental Society, California Dental Association, Orange County Dental Society, American College of Dentists, Academy of General Dentistry, and International College of Dentists.
