Biography
Dr. Wachtel grew up in Endicott, NY. In 1992 she completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Boston University and in 1996 a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from The University of Pennsylvania. In 1998 after completing a two-year General Practice Residency at the VA Hospital in Manchester, NH, she and her husband moved to Scottsdale, Arizona. From 1999-2019, Dr. Wachtel worked part-time as an independent contractor dentist in private practices and volunteering in local dental clinics treating underserved populations, while raising her four children.
In 2017, she joined the faculty at Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine part time as a Pre-clinical Adjunct Professor and became a full time Pre-clinical Assistant Professor in 2021. She is a member of the American Dental Association and American Dental Education Association.
