Biography
Dr. Philip Schefke earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from DePaul University in 1983. He went on to attend the University of Illinois, College of Dentistry, where he earned a B.S. degree in 1985 and a D.D.S. degree in 1987. From 1988 until 2014, Dr. Schefke was in private practice in the Tinley Park/Orland Park area prior to accepting his position at Midwestern University.
Dr. Schefke is very active in organized dentistry and is a member of the American Dental Association, the Illinois State Dental Society, and the Chicago Dental Society. He has served as Chairperson of the Communications Committees to CDS and ISDS, and is also on the Board of Directors to DENT-IL-PAC. He is a former Board Member to CDS and served on the ISDS Board of Trustees from September 2014 to September 2017. In addition, Dr. Schefke has been inducted into the International College of Dentists and the American College of Dentists. He is also a Life Member in the Delta Sigma Delta Dental Fraternity.
In his free time, Dr. Schefke enjoys cycling, running, and painting. He resides in Woodridge and has 3 children, Claudia, Madeline, and Luke.
