Biography
Peter A. Finocchiaro, D.D.S. was born in Chicago but grew up mostly in Arizona attending middle school and high school in Scottsdale then completed his undergraduate pre-dental studies at the University of Arizona. In 1983 he graduated from the University of the Pacific in San Francisco. Dr. Finocchiaro came back to Scottsdale to practice in his own general private practice for 33 years until 2016 with a focus on cosmetic, reconstructive and implant dentistry. Dr. Finocchiaro accepted a position as a dental pre-clinical instructor in 2017 then moved on to accept the position of full time Clinical Assistant Professor at Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine in 2020.
He serves currently as the director of and lectures in the Occlusion course given to the 3rd year dental class. Dr. Finocchiaro has a passion for dentistry and strives to expand his knowledge and art of dentistry through ongoing continuing education. Dr. Finocchiaro serves on the Quality Assurance and Student Promotion & Graduation committees. He is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, and the Arizona Dental Association. In his spare time Dr. Finocchiaro enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, hiking, cycling and other outdoor activities.
