Biography

Dr. Parres M. Wright, an esteemed graduate of Tennessee State University, carries her passion for optometry with unwavering dedication. She attended Nova Southeastern University’s College of Optometry, where graduated with professional distinction—a testament to her unwavering commitment. Dr. Wright’s path led her to complete her residency training in Low Vision Rehabilitation and Geriatric Optometry at the VA Medical Center in Birmingham, Alabama. 

During this transformative period, she stood out as one of five optometry residents nationwide selected to present in the Southeastern Educational Congress of Optometry (SECO) series “High Hurdles:The Most Challenging Resident Cases of the Year.” Following residency training, Dr. Wright spearheaded an Advanced Low Vision Clinic at the VA Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. Dr. Wright is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. Her expertise extends beyond clinical practice, advocating tirelessly for accessible eye care and education. When she steps away from her professional endeavors, Dr. Wright cherishes family movie nights.
