Biography
Dr. Jakka’s expertise spans bacteriology, virology, serology, and molecular diagnostics, with a strong focus on diagnostic test development, host-pathogen interactions and emerging and zoonotic infectious diseases. She has held leadership roles in veterinary diagnostic laboratories and has led the development and validation of serological and molecular assays, including multiplex and CRISPR-Cas-based diagnostics.
Dr. Jakka is committed to veterinary medical education and training future clinicians in diagnostic microbiology and laboratory interpretation. Her academic and research interests emphasize clinically relevant microbiology, diagnostic decision-making, and translational approaches to animal health.
