Biography
Dr. Fitzgerald received her Graduate Dental Hygiene degree from the University of Minnesota in 1985. After practicing as a Dental Hygienist for almost twenty years she returned to the University of Minnesota and attained her B.S. in Dental Hygiene Education in 2005. Dr. Fitzgerald earned her D.M.D. degree in the inaugural dental class from Midwestern College of Dental Medicine – Glendale, AZ in 2012. She has practiced dentistry in both Florida and Arizona. She served as a part-time Pre-Clinical Adjunct Faculty member at Midwestern University – Glendale, AZ during 2013 – 2014 then transitioned to a full-time Pre-Clinical Assistant Professor in July of 2014.
Dr. Fitzgerald holds certifications in Oral Sedation Dentistry, Comprehensive Orthodontics and Craniofacial Orthopedics, Epigenetic Orthodontics with the DNA Appliance, Laser Dentistry (hard and soft tissue lasers and cold laser therapy), and Las Vegas AAID Implant Maxicourse. Dr. Fitzgerald’s professional affiliations include The Academy of Laser Dentistry, Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Educators Association, International Association for Dental Research and is an Associate Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.
Dr. Fitzgerald enjoys hiking, biking, swimming, pickle ball, skiing, and spending time with her family.
