Area of Practice

Biography
My enthusiasm and passion for clinical pathology stems from a concept initially introduced by the human pathologist Rudolf Vichow: “One Medicine, One Health, One World.” Clinical pathology is one of the specialties that allows for the bridging of human and animal medicine by facilitating collaboration between researchers and veterinarians through the understanding of the pathophysiology of disease processes in animal models of disease. As a professor, I am able to educate a diverse group of individuals (veterinary students, residents, technicians, veterinary and human doctors and members of the public) about the importance of clinical pathology in all realms of the biomedical field.
