Biography
Dr. Kimberly Busch earned a B.S. (Bachelor of Science) degree from the University of Illinois Champaign Urbana. Upon graduating she attended the University of Illinois College of Dentistry where she received her D.D.S. Immediately after, Dr. Busch accepted a commission as a Naval Dental Officer in the United States Navy. During her 6 years on active duty, she was stationed at Great Lakes, Guam, and Groton Submarine base. While on active duty she was awarded various medals such as; the Naval Commendation Medal, Naval Achievement Medal, Humanitarian Mission Medal, Overseas Medal, and a Naval Defense Service Award. While on active duty she was also promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Commander.
Following her military time, Dr. Busch moved to Philadelphia and began working in private practice while her husband completed his orthodontic residency at the University of Pennsylvania. Soon after she moved back to the Chicago suburbs to continue practicing dentistry in a private practice setting for the next 28 years while raising 4 children. She has been a member of the ADA and CDS throughout her career. Her passions include missions work in Haiti, Mexico, and the Dominican Republic. She is proud to have started the dental portion of missions with Hope International Ministries and Charis, organizations that serve the underprivileged in the Dominican Republic and Haiti, respectively. Other areas of interest include triathlons, traveling and live music.
