Biography

Before I was a veterinarian, I was a pet owner. The joy that results from a strong human-animal bond is unparalleled, and it can be especially frustrating when our pets become sick and a diagnosis is difficult to obtain. As a clinical pathologist, I work behind the scenes, providing attending veterinarians with diagnostic support in the areas of lumps, bumps, and blood.

It is highly gratifying when my expertise can be used to assist in a patient’s diagnosis, providing owners with an answer for their pet’s illness and allowing for appropriate therapy to commence. I also enjoy training future veterinarians in the interpretation of lab results and appropriate diagnostic test selection, ultimately resulting in improved patient care and well-being.
