
Biography
Dr. Jessica Cowhey grew up a “military brat”, living the transient life with her brother, mother, and father. Little did she know, after spending her childhood following around her Navy dentist father, she would spend her adulthood following in his footsteps. Dr. Cowhey graduated from California State University, Sacramento in 2009, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications- Digital Video with a Minor in Theatre. She spent the next four years working through the prerequisites needed to apply for a graduate program in the health care field. As a recipient of the United States Health Scholarship Collegiate Program, Dr. Cowhey was accepted and eventually earned her DMD from the Oregon Health and Science University in 2017. Upon her commission in the U.S. Navy, she reported to Officer Development School in Newport, RI. Her assignments while on active duty included the Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center where she earned an Advanced Education in General Dentistry certificate, Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command Guam, Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command Annapolis, MD, and Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command Great Lakes, IL. She separated from the Navy in July of 2025. She is married to a Navy Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Technician Officer. They have two kids, Caroline and Henry, and currently live in Palatine, IL.
