Biography

Dr. Perry received his undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences from the State University of New York at Binghamton in 1981. He received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Pennsylvania, School of Dental Medicine in 1985 where he was inducted into the O.K.U. Honor Society. He then completed a one-year General Practice Residency at Virtua Health System in Camden, NJ. After spending fourteen years in private practice, Dr. Perry pursued his interest in Information Technology and held the position of Assistant Professor/Director of Information Technology at Temple University School of Dentistry in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where he participated in the implementation of clinical management programs. While at Temple University, Dr. Perry was a member of the Admissions Committee and the Dean’s Advisory Committee. 

Subsequently he returned to practice in 2006 and worked at two Federally Qualified Health Centers, one private and one affiliated with the UMDNJ Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Brunswick, NJ where he served as Dental Director and treated an underserved population. From 2008 through 2012, Dr. Perry served as Dental Director at the University of Medicine and Dentistry/New Jersey Dental School’s community outreach site in Somerdale, NJ where he treated HIV/AIDS patients and instructed dental students in clinical dentistry. 

In 2012, Dr. Perry relocated to Phoenix, Arizona to join the faculty of Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine in Glendale, Arizona as an Assistant Faculty Member in the Pre-Clinical Sciences area. After three years he became a Clinical Assistant Faculty Member at the Dental Institute. In 2015, Dr. Perry was appointed to the CDCA (Commission on Dental Competency Assessments – previously known as NERB, the Northeast Regional Board of Dental Examiners) as a consultant/examiner. Dr. Perry’s areas of interest and expertise include Digital Dentures and CAD/CAM Dentistry.
