Biography

Dr. Jason Eaton received his D.D.S. from the University of Nebraska in 1998. Following graduation, he completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency from the US Air Force, receiving certifications in IV sedation, forensics, and medical disaster triage. He then served military assignments to Lajes AB, Azores, Portugal and Hill AFB, Utah. Following his service, Dr. Eaton started his own dental practice in the Salt Lake City, Utah area, where he worked for 18 years. 

Dr. Eaton’s enthusiasm for lifelong learning remained with him throughout his years in private practice, and eventually led him to dental academia. He started as an Assistant Professor at the University of Utah School of Dentistry and as an Adjunct Professor at Roseman University College of Dental Medicine. He accepted his current position at Midwestern University in 2020. Dr. Eaton is the Faculty Advisor for the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) student chapter.

Dr. Eaton has been a member of the AGD for over 25 years; he earned his Fellowship in 2017, his Mastership in 2018, and the Lifelong Learning Service Recognition award in 2023. He was inducted as a Fellow in the International College of Dentists in 2022. He is also a member of the American Dental Association and American Dental Education Association. Dr. Eaton has been active in organized dentistry at the state, regional, and national levels. In the AGD, he served as a Regional Director from 2018-2021, and currently serves as a Trustee on the Board. Dr. Eaton enjoys travel, tennis, and time with his family.
