James Pashayan, D.D.S., M.A.Ed.
Biography
Dr. Pashayan received his D.D.S. in 1971 from Case-Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. While attending dental school, he joined the United States Navy and served until 1973. After being discharged from the service, Dr. Pashayan opened a practice in Corona Del Mar, California and joined the faculty at University of Southern California. Relocating to Cleveland in 1975, he joined the faculty of Case Western Reserve University as an Assistant Professor of Dentistry both a Clinical Preceptor and Simulation Clinic Faculty Instructor. Over the next 30 years, he continued to teach and mentor students along with his private practice.
In 2004, Dr. Pashayan relocated to Arizona joining the faculty at the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health as an Assistant Professor of Dentistry. At ASDOH, he was assigned as a Clinical Care Unit Director with service on the Admissions and Quality Assurance Committees. In 2006, he received his Master’s in Education in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Phoenix.
Dr. Pashayan joined the faculty of the College of Dental Medicine and in 2009, was appointed as Associate Dean for Clinical Education where managed the clinical operations of the College of Dental Medicine. Dr. Pashayan completed the Costin course of study and was named a scholar in 2011. In 2015, Dr. Pashayan was named the Associate Dean for Admissions, Continuing Education, and Graduate Studies.
