Biography
Dr. Souri is a graduate of Loyola University School of Dentistry in Maywood, Illinois and completed a pediatric dentistry residency at Mott Children’s Health Center/Hurley Medical Center in Flint, Michigan.
Dr. Souri is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, Chicago Dental Society, International Association for Orthodontics, and the National Network for Oral Health Access.
Prior to joining the Dental Institute as a clinical faculty member and assistant professor, Dr. Souri has been practicing dentist and holding several positions as a dental director and chief dental officer for many federally qualified health centers in Illinois. Dr Souri served as the Dental Consultant for Illinois Primary Health Care Association.
Dr. Souri is the recipient of the Illinois Primary Health Care Clinician Devotion Award.
Dr. Souri was the recipient of 2010 Health and Medicine Policy Research Group’s (HMPRG) Medicine Award in honor of his dedication to improving the lives of others. In 2011, Dr. Souri received the Innovative Research in Primary Care Award from the National Association of Community Health Center.
