Biography

Dr. Elis Fisk completed the combined Anatomic Pathology Residency and Ph.D. program at Washington State University. His Ph.D. research focused on interactions between ticks, the pathogens they harbor, and the hosts they feed upon. During his residency, he also published research describing Toxoplasma gondii as a newly appreciated cause of pregnancy loss in multiple bighorn sheep herds. Dr. Fisk’s clinical interests include zoo and wildlife, invertebrates, and aquatic pathology. In addition to his role as a necropsy diagnostician, Dr. Fisk instructs veterinary medicine students, lecturing on the pathology of the urinary tract and skin.
