Biography
Dr. Speratti graduated in 1994 at the Methodist University Dental School in São Paulo Brazil. During dental school he attended a dental implant seminar and found his clinical passion. Right after graduation he entered an implant specialty program, and was part of the first graduated class on this specialty in Brazil. After practicing for seven years in Brazil, he moved to the US and settled in Boston, Massachusetts. He became a Clinical Instructor at the Implant Dentistry Center and Bicon Institute in Boston, and has been training hundreds of clinicians all over the world in dental implant procedures since. In order to practice in USA, Dr. Speratti had to go back to dental school for two more years as a student but at the same time he was an implant instructor training fellow students and faculty, and received his DMD degree from Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine in Arizona.
With more than 20 years of clinical and teaching experience in dental implants he was invited to start the unique dental implant program at Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine in Illinois where he is a Clinical Assistant Professor. He still lectures in the Unites States and abroad, has authored and participated in several research articles and is a co-author of “The Bicon Short Implant: A Thirty-Year Perspective”. When away from dentistry he enjoys spending time with his family, reading, watching movies and traveling.
