Biography

Dr. Daniel Deligio earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois: Champaign-Urbana in molecular and cellular biology. He then received his Doctor of Optometry degree from Midwestern University – Arizona College of Optometry and earned the valedictory award upon graduation. He completed his residency training in cornea and contact lenses at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry. Dr. Deligio is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, Scleral Lens Society, and Board Certified by the American Board of Optometry. He is also a columnist for Contact Lens Spectrum and Vice Chancellor for BSK.

He is a member of the Illinois and American Optometric Association since 2016. Dr. Deligio is the Assistant Director of Rotations and Associate Professor at Midwestern University – Chicago College of Optometry where he teaches the Anterior Segment Ocular Disease and Soft Contact Lens Courses as well as supervises fourth year optometry students during clinical care. He specializes in medically necessary contact lenses, ocular prosthetics, orthokeratology, and other corneal diseases.
