Biography
Christina Michelle Martin, DO is a dedicated family physician whose career reflects her deep commitment to service, education, and the holistic care of individuals and families. A Kansas City, Missouri native, she earned her undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Missouri–Kansas City in 1988. In 2005, she courageously pursued her lifelong dream of becoming a physician, relocating to Phoenix, Arizona—at age 39, with four young sons and the unwavering support of her husband—to attend medical school at Midwestern University.
In 2021, Dr. Martin returned to Midwestern University, her alma mater, where she now teaches AZCOM medical students and continues her clinical practice. A passionate advocate for osteopathic principles and whole-person care, she is known for her compassion, her thoughtful mentorship, and her unwavering commitment to nurturing future physicians.
Dr. Martin’s love for family medicine is evident in every aspect of her work. She believes deeply in the privilege and responsibility of caring for patients and their families, and she strives to model empathy, professionalism, and service to her students and colleagues.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Martin enjoys spending time outdoors—hiking, kayaking, snorkeling, and running—and cherishes every moment with her nine grandchildren.
