Biography
Dr. Delap received her Bachelors of Art from Knox College in Galesburg, IL in psychology and philosophy and received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from A. T. Still University in Mesa, AZ in 2008. Dr. Delap received board certification from American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties as a Geriatric Clinical Specialist. She is certified in the LSVT BIG program and PWR!Moves for the treatment of people with Parkinson’s Disease. Dr Delap is also a certified clinical instructor.
The majority of her clinical experience has been working in both management and clinical positions in outpatient settings working with older adults with specific gait, movement or balance disorders including Parkinson’s Disease and vestibular disorders. Dr. Delap is involved in both the APTA Geriatric (AGPT) and Neurological (ANPT) Sections as well and the (VRSIG) Vestibular Rehabilitation Special Interest Group, (BFSIG) Balance and Fall Special Interest Group and the (AFPC) Arizona Falls Prevention Coalition. Dr. Delap is also a member of (MDS) International and Parkinson’s Movement Disorders Society and (VEDA) Vestibular Disorders Association.
