Biography

A native of Hong Kong, she immigrated to United States when she was 16. After finishing two years of undergraduate studies at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, she was accepted as one of the six female students out of a class of 137 into the class of 1976 at Marquette University School of Dentistry. After graduation, she moved to Phoenix with her husband, a periodontist, and was the only practicing female dentist in town for a year. She has had 20 years of private practice in Phoenix and Sun City and 7 years of corporate dentistry where she learned to manage large dental group practices from a different business perspective.

She joined Midwestern University in 2011 as an adjunct instructor at the pre-clinical simulation clinic. Four years later her passion for teaching and love for technology brought her to the Dental Institute as a full-time clinical assistant professor. She is a member of the Spear Education, a Fellow in the American Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association, Arizona State Dental Association and Central Arizona Dental Society. She has served on the peer review committee for the AZ State Dental Association and as a delegate to the AZ chapter of American Dental Association.
