Biography
I am a board-certified veterinary microbiologist with a primary focus in the discovery, characterization, and pathology of novel and emerging pathogens, especially the ones representing potential animal and public health threats in a One Health context. I am passionate about veterinary diagnostics and interested in implementing the use of next generation sequencing tools into the diagnostic workflow. I also have a special interest in veterinary education with the main goal of inspiring students’ interest in veterinary virology and bacteriology.
